HOW TO INSERT ROMAN NUMBERS FOR THE PRELIMINARY PAGES IN MS WORD

Steps
Ø  Selecting the Roman Number Format:
Ø  Click>Insert
Ø  Page Number
Ø  Format Page numbers…
Ø  In the Number format combo box, select “i,ii,iii,…” to select roman numbers., Start at: “i”
Ø  Ok
Ø  Close the Header & Footer-Design Tool bar

Ø  Inserting the Roman Numbers:
Ø  Click >Insert
Ø  Page Number
Ø  (Select the position that you want to place your page numbers, In the Document Formatting (From Scratch) Template, I selected-) “>Bottom of Page>Plain Number 3”.
At this stage, all the pages In the Document Formatting (From Scratch) Template, should have page numbers at the bottom-right most part of the pages, except the Cover Page.


Ø  Close the Header & Footer-Design Tool bar
